William Stewart, 86, of Corona, Calif., passed away March 23, 2016.

Mildred Stewart, nee Peter, 85, of Corona, Calif., passed away Jan. 21, 2015.

William was born on Jan. 19, 1930 in St. Louis, Mo., and raised in St. Ann, Mo. He was a man of faith and was very active in his church. He enjoyed many types of arts and hobbies including jeweler and gemology. He was an inventor and an Eagle Scout leader. His skill set was as amazing as was his mentoring. His occupation of almost 40 years was in aircraft design and assembly. He was a highly valued employee, in deed, and will be dearly missed. His skills will be passed down for generations to come.

Mildred was born on July 11, 1930 in Marissa, Ill., and grew up on the Peter’s farm in Marissa, Ill. Her lifelong commitment of 65 years of marriage produced a family love and heritage that will last for generations to come. Mildred was very active in her church. She was Girl Scout leader. She enjoyed cake decorating and culinary work and was a talented seamstress. Mildred had a wonderful life and traveled the world in her retirement. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

William and Mildred were preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda.

They are survived by their sons, Dennis Stewart and Bob Stewart; grandchildren, Nicole, Cassie, Tristian, Jeff, David, Miranda, Oliva and Sylvia; and great-grandchildren, Riley and Boau.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 21, 2016, at Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in Marissa, Ill.

Funeral: Memorial services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 21, 2016, at Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in Marissa, Ill., with Rev. James Ryan officiating. Interment will be in the Marissa Township Cemetery in Marissa, Ill.
