Travis R. Bollmeier

Travis Ray Bollmeier, 45, of Marissa, IL, born October 27, 1976, in Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Sunday April 17, 2022, after a yearlong battle with cancer. Travis liked to fish, hunt, golf, bowl and play cards.  He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents – Hugh & Joan Leverton, Ray & Irene Bollmeier, Ralph & Juanita Dilday and by one aunt – Margie Dilday Legris.

Travis is survived by his parents – Liz and Stanley Dilday, father – Richard (Margaret) Bollmeier, two sisters – Heather (Ricky) Rhodes, and Amanda (David) Cathcart, one brother – Andy (Sherrie Weinhoffer) Dilday, two nephews – Tanner Rhodes and Javier Cathcart, four nieces – Carleigh Rhodes, Ava Cathcart, Jozee Cathcart and Madelyn Dilday, and aunts and uncles – Diana (Rich) Lochman, Russell (Janice) Leverton, Donna (Scott) Langergren, Russell (Shari) Dilday, George Dilday and Mike Legris.

Memorials may be made to Holy Ghost United Church of Christ in Darmstadt, IL.

Visitation: Friends and family will be gathering from 9 – 11 a.m. on Friday April 22, 2022, at Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in Marissa, IL.

Funeral: services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday April 22, 2022 at Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in Marissa, IL with Rev. Don Wagner and Rev. Tarrah Vaupel officiating.  Interment will follow at Marissa TWP Cemetery in Marissa, IL.

Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in Marissa, IL is in charge of arrangements.

    Sorry to learn of your brother’s passing. I don’t have any regular contact with the old gang from Marissa, so I know it has been a few weeks. I ran into Travis at Mt. Carmel Cemetery some years back when I was visiting my parents’ grave site. May his soul rest in Peace.
