Timothy Mayfield

Timothy “Tim” Mayfield, 58, of Marissa, IL; formerly of Staunton, IL went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday, December 27, 2014. Tim was born on November 16, 1956 in Austin, MN.

Tim spent several years with his brothers, sisters and father in the family owned business – Mayfield Produce Company. He then became the owner of Tim Mayfield LLC, a small trucking company that he truly loved. He greatly enjoyed the relationship he had with Roadrunner Transportation. Tim was a member of the family church – Hope Tabernacle in Staunton, IL and in the past couple of years became a member of the loving family of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Lenzburg, IL where he was truly loved.

He was preceded in death by his parents – Paul and Maybelle, nee Jurgena, Mayfield. One brother – David Mayfield. Two infant children – Charles and Sarah Mayfield.

He is survived by his wife Carol, nee Groh-Reinhardt, Mayfield whom he married on March 2, 2013. One son – Matthew (Katie) Mayfield on Livingston, IL. Three daughters – Danielle Tift of Collinsville, IL; Christina (John) Geiler of Collinsville, IL; Deborah Mayfield of Collinsville, IL. A step-daughter – Connie (David) Schreiber of Marissa, IL. Four brothers – Dennis (Louise) Mayfield of Staunton, IL; Larry (Marion) Mayfield of Staunton, IL; James (Marilyn) Mayfield of Calgary, Alberta, Canada; Stephen Mayfield of Litchfield, IL. Two sisters – Rebekah (Max) Mullins of Litchfield, IL; Deborah (David) Alender of Stauton, IL. Two sisters-in-law – Kay (Warren) Trotter of Marissa, IL; Linda Groh-Demers of Lacrosse, WI. Tim’s pride and joy were his grandchildren – Aaron Mayfield of Livingston, IL; Abbie Mayfield of Livingston, IL; Hannah McDowell of Collinsville, IL; Sophia Zappia of Collinsville, IL. Tim also had a special bond with two step-grandchildren – Taylor Schreiber of Marissa, IL; Macey Schreiber of Marissa, IL. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins who were all dear to his heart. His family meant everything to him.

Tim is together now with his brother, David and his best friend Stanley riding the dirt trails in heaven on their dirt bikes without any pain or worries.

Memorials may be made to the Siteman Cancer Center.

Visitation: Friends may call at Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in Marissa, IL on Monday, December 29, 2014 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm and at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Lenzburg, IL on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 from 9:00am to 11:00am.

Funeral: Services will be held at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Lenzburg, IL on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at 11:00am with Rev. Howard Thomure officiating.

Interment: Burial will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery in Staunton, IL on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at 3:00pm.
