I was lucky enough to know Steve. He always had a smile and could make you laugh in a minute. And strong, he was strong and kind. That’s what I remember the most. I will miss you, Steve.

ReplyGod’s gain an angel, but we lost a great friend. I will miss his goofy grin and his great big heart. Steve once told me after a Lions Club meeting that he never wanted to be as old as I am. Which I’m 6 yrs older, so I thank God that he didn’t get that wish and that he was given the gift of marrying the love of his life and gaining his own family. Steve, we will miss you, grieve you and celebrate your life but we will never forget you!

ReplySteve was one of the most sincere and positive persons I have ever met. In the nearly twenty five years I knew him, I never once, heard him utter an unkind word about anyone. He always took time to say, “hello” and he was always smiling. This world grows a little darker for not having him in it. He was very special. We could all take a lesson in kindness from Steve. My heart goes out to Laurie and all of his family.

ReplyLaura and family, even though I have been out of touch socially with a majority of people, Steve has always been one of my friends who hold a special place in my heart. I myself am devastated at learning of Steve’s passing. Somehow the news of Steve’s health had bypassed me until Tuesday so needlessly it hit me hard. I cannot even imagine what you are going though.
