Roy Mahan

Roy Dean Mahan, 62, of Tilden, IL; born on June 5, 1956 in Sparta, IL; passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Roy Dean was a proud coal miner and avid scrapper. He was a member of the House of God Pentecostal Church. Roy Dean loved to coon hunt and was member of the Tilden Coon Club. He served his community on the village board. He was a talented dog trainer. Roy Dean was always ready to lend a helping hand. He was a great father and will be missed by many.
He was preceded in death by his parents – Everett and Lucille, nee Price, Timmons. One brother – Everett Timmons.
He is survived by his wife Kristina, nee Legereit, Mahan. His sons – Jeremy Boaz of Tilden, IL; Jason (Shelby) Boaz of Greenville, IL. His grandchildren – Tessa; Landyn; Elizabeth Marie. Two brothers – Richard (Wanda) Mahan; Carl Schmersahl. One sister – Estella (Steve) Denault. Sister-in-law – Janice Timmons. Nieces and nephews – Stephanie (Sylvester) Lambert; Mary (Scott) Carroll; Tim (Amanda) Mahan; Angel (Nathan) Bartholomew; Richard (Amanda) Mahan; Zach (Kayla) Spaulding; Seth (April) Spaulding; Trisha Timmons; Troy Denault.
Memorials may be made to the family.

Visitation: Friends may call at House of God Pentecostal Church in Tilden, IL on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 from 9:00am to 12:00noon.
Funeral: Services will be held at House of God Pentecostal Church in Tilden, IL on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at 12:00noon with Rev. Phillip L. Easton officiating.
Interment: Burial will be held in the Tilden Cemetery in Tilden, IL.
Heil-Schuessler & Sinn Funeral Home in Tilden, IL is in charge of arrangements.
