Rosemary Hamill

Rosemary Ann, nee Kipp, Hamill, 60, of Marissa, IL; born on July 15, 1959 in Sparta, IL; passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Mrs. Hamill was a homemaker and a secretary.  Rosemary was an active member of Calvary Church where she served in the nursery.  She like playing cards, reading and baking.  Rosemary was also involved in any programs that her children and grandchildren participated in.

She was preceded in death by 1 sister; Debra Kipp, 1 brother; Roger Kipp and her father and mother-in-law; Robert (Annabelle) Hamill.

She is survived by her husband – William “Bill” Hamill whom she married on June 24, 1977 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Chester, IL.  Her daughters – Amy (Chris) Mathis of Steeleville, IL; Mindy (Jason) Springs of Sparta, IL.  Her grandchildren – Victor Mathis; Rusty Mathis; Makenna Springs.  Her parents – Elmer “Bud” and Margaret “Jane”, nee Heine, Kipp of Ellis Grove, IL.  One sister – Rhonda (Jim) Dunning of Chester, IL.  One sister-in-law – Rita (Tracy) Appel of Sparta, IL.  She is also survived by nieces, nephews and great nephews.

Memorials may be made to the St. Louis University Liver Center or to the family.

Visitation: Friends may call at Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in Marissa, IL on Thursday, July 16, 2020 from 9:00am to 11:00am.

Funeral: Services will be held at Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in Marissa, IL on Thursday, July 16, 2020 with Pastor Tim McIntyre officiating.

Interment: Burial will be held in the Marissa Township Cemetery in Marissa, IL.

Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in Marissa, IL is in charge of arrangements.
