Ronald Stein

Ronald Eugene Stein, 58, of Marissa, IL; born on January 8, 1960 in Red Bud, IL; passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at his home.
Mr. Stein worked for B & D Machine Works where he was an invauble member of their team. He was able to fill a variety of roles and most recently was their head semi-truck driver. He was an honorary member of the Marissa Volunteer Fire Department. Ron loved NASCAR and American muscle cars. He also liked fishing and dirt track racing.
He was preceded in death by his parents – Eugene and Eugenia, nee Bingel, Stein.
He is survived by his children – Ryan Stein of Sparta, IL; Cory Stein of Sparta, IL; Stephanie (Conrad Wittenborn) Of Steeleville, IL. His grandchildren – Ryley Stein; Eli Wittenborn; Kanon Wittenborn. Five sisters – Debbie (Douglas) Reed of Belleville, IL; Donna Stein of Chester, IL; Fay (Jerry) Fitzgerrel of Ohio; Karen (Michael) Tubbs of Tilden, IL; Lori (Steve) Tubbs of Marissa, IL. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation.

Visitation: Friends may call at Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in Marissa, IL on Sunday, December 16, 2018 from 3:00pm to 8:00pm and on Monday, December 17, 2018 from 9:00am to 10:00am.
Funeral: Services will be held at Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in Marissa, IL on Monday, December 17, 2018 at 10:00am.
Interment: Burial will be held in Marissa Township Cemetery in Marissa, IL.
Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in Marissa, IL is in charge of arrangements.

Ron was a Good friend when we were kids. The thoughts of him bring a lot of smiles to my face. Life is better for having known him. My Heart felt condolences go out to his whole family. May he Rest in Peace.
