Robert Lee Holley, 83, of Marissa, IL; born on February 1, 1941 in Chester, IL, the son of Carl and Goldie (Hunt) Holley; passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at Red Bud Regional Hospital in Red Bud, IL.

Robert was a member of God’s House Pentecostal Church in Tilden.  He was a devoted Christian and dedicated his life to God.  Robert worked at Gilster Mary-Lee for fifty-five years.

He is survived by his loving wife – Barbara Ann (Aaron) Holley to whom he married on July 4, 1992; seven children – Carla (Alan) Draves of Chester, IL, Robert (Bobby) Holley of Chester, IL, Roger Holley of Waterloo, IL, Thomas Holley of Marissa, IL, Darla Bates of Arnold, MO, Eric McCoy of Steeleville, IL, and Matt McCoy of St. Louis, MO; eight grandchildren – Chantel (Kyle) Thompson, Tara Holley, Tison (Megan) Holley, Roger Dale (Cheyenne) Holley, Abby Holley, Sydney (Joey) Lodes, Blake Miller, and Emily Holley; nine great grandchildren; two siblings – Charles (Shirley) Holley and Donna (Don) Nordmeyer.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Mary Kinsey.

Memorial contributions may be made to God’s House Pentecostal Church in Tilden, IL.

The Visitation will be held at God’s House Pentecostal Church in Tilden, IL on Monday, February 26, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Phillip Easton and Rev. Donald Quillman officiating.  Committal Services will take place at Paradise Cemetery in Bremen, IL.
