Robert Ervin “Bob” Blake, 88, of Sparta, IL; born October 13, 1934 in De Soto, MO the son of Truman Ervin and Bertyl Lee (Phelps) Blake; passed away Thursday, September 14, 2023 at home.

Bob was faithful to God and after a long, beautiful life, he was ready to be with him.  He was a member of Sparta Christian Church.  Bob loved his family and enjoyed spending time teaching his grandkids the joys in life.

He is survived by his loving wife – Dianna (Burlison) Blake to whom he married on May 22, 1987; six children – Bobby (Ellen) Blake of De Soto, MO, Guy (Lisa) Blake of Sparta, IL, Greg Blake of Red Bud, IL, Linda Blake of Nashville, IL, Michael (Debbie) Parker of Rolla, MO, and Kimberly Broshears of Sparta, IL; ten grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers – Don Forshee, Jimmy Bradford, and Brian Bradford; one sister – Beverly Carr.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Sparta Christian Church on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at 4:00 p.m.
