Richard Edward Harry Borrenpohl, 82, of Tilden, IL; born on May 24, 1939 in Belleville, IL; passed away on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in O’Fallon, IL.

Richard had a passion for helping out at the Tilden Food Pantry.  He enjoyed horseback riding, camping, and spending time with his step-grandchildren.  Richard loved working in his shop on cars, tractors and lawn mowers.

He was preceded in death by his parents – Walter and Ella (Neuhaus) Borrenpohl; daughter – Christina Leigh Borrenpohl; brother – Robert Borrenpohl; sister – Reneta Maxwell.

Richard is survived by his loving wife – Joyce Ann (Booth) Borrenpohl of Tilden, IL to whom he married October 30, 2004; two brothers – Raymond (Janet) Borrenpohl of Okawville, IL and Roger (Joyce) Borrenpohl of Venedy, IL; one sister – Ruth (Eugene) Meurer of Belleville, IL; nieces and nephews.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Tilden.

Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.heilschuessler.com.

Family and friends may gather at the Tilden First Baptist Church on Monday, June 28, 2021 from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m.  Memorial services will begin at 4:00 p.m.

      Greatly sadden to hear of Richards passing. I lost track of a lot of my trail riding buddies when I moved out of my home and away from Mascoutah. He was a great guy and always ready to help in any situation. My sympathy to all who knew and cared for him.

      Richard has truly been a blessing to our family in so many ways. My dad and mom were so grateful that he lived right up the street and was always there when needed. He was always waving if he was in the yard when we drove by. I will always Ms. Trieb to him. Love you our friend and rest easy.
