RICE

Purl Edward Rice, 76, of Coulterville, IL; born on March 19, 1943 in Du Quoin, IL; passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at his home.

Mr. Rice loved cutting wood and enjoyed riding horses.

He was preceded in death by his parents – Alva and Gladys, nee Cowley, Rice. Two brothers – Nelson and Carl Rice. Four sisters – Alta Elder, Wilma Cope, Cristina Keller and Marjorie Melvin.

He is survived by his wife – Brenda, nee Nevile, Rice. Daughter – Sandy Nevile of Coulterville, IL. Six siblings – Steven (Beverly) Rice of Davenport, IA; Loren (Frances) Rice of Pinckneyville, IL; Glen (Nadine) Rice of Coulterville, IL; Mildred Vance of House Springs, MO; Kenneth (Debbie) Rice of Davenport, IA; Linda (Tim) Palo of North Carolina. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral: Graveside Services will be held at Concord Cemetery in Rice, IL on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Friends and Family are asked to meet directly at the cemetery.

Interment: Burial will be held at Concord Cemetery in Rice, IL.
