Omar Fataikeishmal, 78, of Chester, IL, formerly of Sparta, IL; born on July 3, 1942 in Coahoma, MS; passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2020 in Sparta, IL.

Omar served in the United States Military.  He worked in the food industry for many years.  Omar served at the Senior Center in Sparta and also volunteered teaching from the bible at the Randolph County Care Center.  Omar was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Sparta where he worshipped the Lord.  He was also loved and considered a dear brother by his church family

He was preceded in death by his mother – Fannie Mae King; Siblings – Henry, Susie May and Walter.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife – Louella Simmons of Phoenix, AZ; Three sons – Christopher Simmons, Sr. of Phoenix, AZ, Michael Marach of Eugene, OR, and Jesse Mayfield of Louisville, KY; One step daughter – Velester (Michael) Grant of Phoenix, AZ; Seventeen grandchildren; Seventeen great grandchildren; One sister – Tommie Lee Bailey of St. Louis, MO; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, friends and his church family at the First Baptist Church in Sparta, IL.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church in Sparta to help with funeral expenses.

Visitation: Friends may gather at the First Baptist Church in Sparta, IL on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.

Funeral: Services will be held at the First Baptist Church in Sparta, IL on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Tim Gregory officiating.

Interment: Burial will be held at Caledonia Cemetery in Sparta, IL.
