Nancy Jean “T.J.” Sloan, nee Deck, 62, of Lenzburg, IL, born December 28, 1958 in Alton, IL, passed away on Monday March 8, 2021 at her residence. Mrs. Sloan had been the office manager for their tattoo parlor, The Electric Pen, that she and her husband Larry operated for about 10 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Lee and Nancy Elizabeth (Kline) Deck, her son; Patrick Deck who died at birth, one brother; David Deck and one sister; Jackie Goheen.
“T.J.” , as she was known, is survived by her husband Larry Alan “B.J.” Sloan whom she married August 9, 1989 in Sturgis, SD, daughter Jesseca (Phillip) Hankins of Overland, MO, one granddaughter; Lyriel Hankins, four sisters; Julie (Rodney) Mouser of Godfrey, IL, Tracy (Tracy Knight) Deck, Marsha Sears and Linda Hartman, both of East Alton, IL and her half-sister; Sandra Gibson of LaGrange, TX.
Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Belleville Area, 1301 S. 11th St., Belleville, IL 62226.
No formal services are scheduled. Private family interment will take place at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.

Tj was an amazing woman that I’m so glad I had the chance to get to know. She will be very missed. Larry keep your head up and you know if you need anything at all, all you have to do is walk across the street. We love you.
