Marjorie J. Laumbattus of Marissa, IL passed away on Monday, December 14, 2020 at the Coulterville Care Center in Coultervillle, IL She was born March 23, 1923 in Pasco, WA to Donald and Martha (Andresen) Weaver. She was an avid reader and worked as an assistant librarian for the Marissa Public Library for over 12 years and at the Gilster-Mary Lee cake plant in Steelevillle, IL for over 10 years.
She is survived by her son; Neil “Pete” (Carol) Laumbattus and daughter; Vickie (Ray) Macke all of Marissa, IL, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded by her parents, two sons; Leslie “Rick” Laumbattus, Jr. and William Laumbattus, her daughter; Martha Trafton and granddaughter; Christina Laumbattus.
In accordance with Marjorie’s wishes, cremation is to take place with no visitation or services.
Memorials in Marjorie’s honor may be made to the Marissa Public Library.
Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in Marissa, IL is in charge of arrangements.

ReplyI am so sorry for your loss. I enjoyed taking my kids to the library when they were young. Marjorie would help us find whatever we were looking for. I had the honor to be on the library board later. Marjorie was always so nice and supportive of me.
