Marion O. Geralds

Mrs. Marion Olivia Geralds, nee Crews, 89, of Marissa, IL, born July 15, 1932, in Coulterville to James Harry and Theresa Imogene (Weinhoffer) Crews, entered into her Heavenly home on Tuesday June 7, 2022, from St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in O’Fallon, IL. Mrs. Geralds was a retired CNA from the Randolph County Care Center in Sparta, IL. She was of the Pentecost faith.
Mrs. Geralds was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband – David Victor Geralds, whom she married on January 25, 1950, and who passed away on April 1, 1987, one son – Jerry Geralds, two sisters – Norma Newsom and Anna Mae Coke and two grandchildren – Shawn Geralds and Catherine Cox.
Marion is survived by seven children – Betty (David) Stone of Smiths Station, AL, Roger (Cindy) Geralds of Marissa, IL, Clara (John) Taylor of Marissa, IL, Nancy (the late Paul) Jones of Marissa, IL, Rhonda Gillette of Marissa, IL, David (Jenny) Geralds of Red Bud, IL and Karen (fiancé Matt Allard) of Red Bud, IL, and one brother – Larry Crews, Sr. of Tilden, IL. Also surviving her are over 100 grandchildren, gr. grandchildren and gr. gr. grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the family.
Visitation: Friends and family will be gathering from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Monday June 13, 2022, at Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in Marissa, IL.
Funeral: Services will be held at 12 p.m. on Monday June 13, 2022, at Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in Marissa, IL with Past Adam Losekamp officiating. Interment will follow at Marissa TWP Cemetery in Marissa, IL.
Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in Marissa, IL is in charge of arrangements.

I am so very sorry about your mom’s passing. I was just looking at her pictures on FB the other day and thinking about how blessed you all were that she survived the whole COVID ordeal. May she rest in the arms of Jesus, and May He grant all of you His Peace.-
