Marian, nee, Hammett, Harrison, 92, of Sparta, IL; born of October 4, 1926 in Mineral Point, MO; passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 in St. Louis, MO.

Mrs. Harrison worked as a presser at the Lowenbaum Dress Factory in Sparta. Marian was full of life. She loved to watch hummingbirds and would place several feeders out where as many as 200 hummingbirds would visit a day. She enjoyed quilting. Marian also liked to travel and visited every state except Hawaii. She loved baseball and watching golf. She always enjoyed dancing and even when she was unable to dance on her own she would still move her feet to the rhythm of the music. Most of all she loved being around her family and would never say no to enjoying a Twinkie.

She was preceded in death by her parents – Benjamin and Bertha, nee Walton, Hammett. Her husband – Alvin Harrison who passed away on January 15, 2009. One nephew – Larry Lively.

She is survived by two sisters-in-law – Mary Hammett; Julie (Larry) Commuso. Four nephews – Gary (Jean) Newman; Robert Hammett; Roger Hammett; Ronald Hammett. Two nieces – Marilyn Hammett-Igo; Diane Fryman. She is also survived by great nephews and nieces; great-great nephews and nieces; and great-great-great nephews.

Funeral: Services will be held at Heil-Schuessler & Sinn Funeral Home in Sparta, IL on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at 10:00am.

Interment: Burial will be held at Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery in Sparta, IL.
