Marc Edward Weinhoffer, 60, of Sparta, IL; born January 27, 1963 in Red Bud, IL the son of William and Paula (Wasson) Weinhoffer; passed away Monday, January 8, 2024 at Kindred Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Marc worked as a Union Pipefitter for the Local 160 in Murphysboro, IL and retired in 2012.  He enjoyed fishing and hunting, but Marc loved spending time with his grandchildren most of all.

He is survived by his loving wife – Dawn (Wyninegar) Weinhoffer; two children – Jon (Heather) Weinhoffer of Sparta, IL and Jennifer (Jason) Wade of Du Quoin, IL; six grandchildren – Ayden, Ethan, Cash, Jeffrey, Peyton, and Lucas; one brother – William “Bill” (Pam) Weinhoffer of Murphysboro, IL; nieces and nephews – Kasey, Travis and Trisha; great nephew – Ethan.

Marc was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Randolph County Humane Society.

The Visitation will be held at Heil-Schuessler & Sinn Funeral Home in Sparta, IL on Friday, January 12, 2024 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m.  Funeral Services will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Kent Holland officiating.  Committal Services will take place at New Hope Cemetery in Willisville, IL.
