Lisa Ann Thompson, 59, of Tilden, IL, born January 2, 1964 in Sparta, IL; passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2023 at BRIA of Belleville, IL.

Lisa loved to read and spend time with her family.  She was always caring for her kids and grandchildren but was a mother to all.  Lisa’s sisters always called her the gypsy of the family because of how free-spirited she could be.

Lisa is survived by two daughters – Samantha (Ryan) Schmittling of Belleville, IL and Elizabeth Baker of Carbondale, IL; thirteen grandchildren – Rylei Thompson, Grant Skurat, Piper Hewitt, Saylor Thompson, Kameron Schmittling, Bentley Schmittling, Amelia Baker, Brian Baker, Jack Baker, Delilah Douglas, Jalyn Law, Daniel Law, and Axle Law; three sisters – Gail Wilson of Carbondale, IL, Janice (Gary) Carter of Tilden, IL, and Melanie Downen of Sparta, IL; one brother – Ray “Chuck” Charles Wilson of Tilden, IL; dear cousin & friend – Donna Wilkerson of Marissa, IL; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her son – Vernon Law, Jr.; parents – Charles Wilson and Minnie (Douglas) Downen; brother – Charles Rusty Wilson.

Graveside Services will be held in memory of Lisa Ann Thompson and Vernon Lee Law, Jr. at Tilden Cemetery on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at 11:00 a.m.  It was Lisa’s wish to be buried next to her son, Vernon who passed away Thursday, May 11, 2023.  Family and Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for graveside memorial services.
