Letha “Lee” Mae Burns

BURNS
Letha “Lee” Mae Burns, 84, of Sparta, IL; born on July 23, 1935 in Chester, IL; passed away on Monday, February 17, 2020 at Sparta Community Hospital in Sparta, IL.
Many people recognized Letha from the time she worked at Wright’s Building Center. She also worked at Spartan Printing as a secretary. She was a member at Trinity Presbyterian Church. Letha volunteered at Sparta Community Hospital and was a very active member of the Delta Theta Tau Sorority.
She married Milton Roger Burns in 1956 and he preceded her in death in September of 2017. She was also preceded in death by her parents – Harry and Laverne (Bierman) Draves.
She is survived by her children – David Roger Burns of Sparta, IL and Jennifer (Michael Combs) Burns of Jacksonville Beach, FL. One granddaughter – Samantha of Athens, GA. Two brothers – Earl (Rosemary) Draves of Red Bud, IL and Leonard (Carole) Draves of Festus, MO.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Family or Delta Theta Tau Sorority.

Visitation: Public visitation will be held at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Sparta, IL on Sunday, February 23, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Monday, February 24, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Funeral: Services will be held at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Sparta, IL on Monday, February 24, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor David Hoffelmeyer officiating.
Heil-Schuessler & Sinn Funeral Home in Sparta, IL is in charge of arrangements
