Kurt Dietrich

Kurt Matthew Dietrich, 50, of Lenzburg, IL; born on January 9, 1970 in Carbondale, IL; passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2020.
Kurt was an operating engineer and had also recently begun working at Zander’s Sporting Goods in the warehouse. He liked tinkering and fixing things. Most of all Kurt liked being around people and spending time with his friends.
He is survived by his parents – Ronald and Janet, nee Robbins, Dietrich of Lenzburg, IL. Three brothers – Jim (Laurie-Fiancé) Dietrich of St. Louis, MO; Chris (Erin) Dietrich of Collinsville, IL; Todd (Michelle) Dietrich of Marissa, IL. His nieces and nephews – Alex, Maddie, Katie, Chance, Logan, Aubrie, Riley and Tucker. He is also survived by special friend – Melinda Russell of Coulterville, IL and a special little friend – Sophie. His four legged friend – Willie will also miss him.

Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.

Services: Due to restrictions that are in place during the coronavirus outbreak no services will be held at this time. A celebration of Kurts’s life will be held at a later date.
Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in Marissa, IL is in charge of arrangements.

I’m truly sorry for your loss. Kurt was a friend of mine and I also worked with him for awhile. He truly was a good person and dearly loved his family. He will be missed.

There are some people that can light up a room when they walk in. That was kurt. He always had a way to make you laugh even on the rough days. He is sorely missed. I’m very sorry for your loss.
