Kimberly K. Dickey

Kimberly Kae Dickey, nee Dean, 56, of Marissa, IL, born March 4, 1966, passed away on Thursday December 8, 2022, at St. Louis University hospital in St. Louis MO.  She was a homemaker and member of the Marissa Presbyterian Church. Kim loved hand crafts; especially sewing and crocheting for many people.

Mrs. Dickey was preceded in death by her daughter – Alycia Nicole Dickey, father-in-law – Robert Dickey and her beloved fur baby – Diego.

Kim is survived by her parents – George “Bud” and Deanna (Summers) Dean of Sebring, FL, her loving husband – Roy Dean Dickey, whom she married on December 5, 1987, son – Tony Dickey of Marissa, IL, brother – Mike (Barb) Dean of Freeburg, IL and her mother-in-law – Lauris Dickey of Marissa, IL and many other extended family members.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Marissa Presbyterian Church or to the Randolph County Humane Society.

Visitation: Friends and family will be gathering from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Monday December 12, 2022, at the Marissa Presbyterian Church in Marissa, IL.

Funeral: Services will be held at 12 p.m. on Monday December 12, 2022, at the Marissa Presbyterian Church in Marissa, IL with Rev. James Ryan officiating.  Interment will follow at Marissa TWP Cemetery in Marissa, IL.

Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in Marissa, IL is in charge of arrangements.

    Kim was always so kind to me. I remember her making us homemade french fries on many occasions in Junior High. She was always very talented in the kitchen, with her crafts, and in band and chorus. I hate that she’s gone at a young age and I hate even more that she had to endure the loss of her daughter.
