Kenneth G. Hille

Kenneth George Hille, 84, of Seattle, Wa went to his heavenly home May 22, 2015.

          He was born on September 6, 1930 in Sparta, Ill to Harmon and Irene Hille. He was their 3rd child, and only son.

          Kenneth graduated from Sparta Township high School in 1948 and started working at the Spartan Printing Plant in 1950.  Soon after that, he enlisted in the Air Force and is a Veteran of the Korean War.

          He married Juanita Kessel on December 20th, 1952. Soon after their wedding, they moved to Rapid City, South Dakota where Ken was stationed and served in the Air Force.

          After the war, he went back to work at the Spartan Printing Plant until 1977. His family then moved to Seattle, Wa.

          Ken worked at Craftsmen Press in Seattle until he retired. After that he worked part time at Avis Car Rental, delivering and driving cars, which he loved!

          Ken was a very talented woodworker, making and designing wood pieces that Juanita would paint. He also designed and made many stained glass pieces that we have all treasured.

          Ken is survived by children Lee Anne (Chris) of Bakersfield, Ca. Mark (Janet) of Bakersfield, Ca. Natalie (Mike) Luthy of Tacoma, Wa. Owen ( Dawn) of Burien, Wa. 10 Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren, one sister, Lynne Ebers of Chester, Ill.

          He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Shirley Wente, Voilet Blair, one Grandaughter and one great grandson.

          His wish was to be cremated.  Committal Services will be at Union Cemetery in Sparta, IL on May 4, 2024 at 11:00 a.m.  Military honors will be conducted by the Scott Air Force Base Funeral Honor Detail.
