Kathy G. Willis, 60, of Sparta, IL; Born on July 25, 1960 in Sikeston, MO; passed away on Thursday, May 27, 2021 in the New Athens Home for the Aged.

Kathy loved to fish and spend time with her family.  There was not a stranger in her eyes, and she was always friendly with anyone she met.  Kathy was the type of person to own something old, but knew how to spruce it up and make it look new.  She was very proud of her Cherokee Indian heritage.  She was always caring toward people and animals, but there was a special place in her heart for her Chihuahua, Bit-Bit.

She is survived by her children – Misty (Mandi) Russell of Sparta, IL, James Harrison (Britton) Russell III of Tilden, IL, and Jesse James Russell of Sparta, IL; twelve grandchildren – Summer Russell, Jerzie Russell, Jordan Mirles, Seth Phillips, Ethan Phillips, Dakota Hamilton, Zoey Hamilton, Aubrey Hamilton, Hunter Hamilton, Dylan Hatley, Nick (Vicki) Hatley, and Danielle Kelly; great grandchildren – Ava Marie Mirles, Kaden Hatley, Renlee Hatley, Jordyn Hatley, Ayleah Hatley, Kalynne Hatley, Aaron Stork, and Austin Stork; three sisters – Anita Willis of East Prairie, MO, Geraldine Griggs of East Prairie, MO, and Karon Riley of St. Johns, MI; two brothers – Gerald Willis of Rushville, IL and Billy Willis of Farmington, MO.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents – Floyd and Kathleen (Ward) Willis; granddaughter – Hillary Stork; two sisters – Mary Kopel and Rosetta Willis; one brother – Lonnie Willis.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Heil-Schuessler & Sinn Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.

A graveside service will be held in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery in East Prairie, MO on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.
