Kathy Ann DeAngelo

Kathy Ann DeAngelo, 70, of Sparta, IL; born May 6, 1951 in Red Bud, IL, the daughter of Malden and Maxine (Kempfer) Sipole; passed away September 2, 2021 in Sparta, IL.

Kathy loved spoiling her grandbabies.  She wasn’t satisfied unless she was taking care of someone.  Kathy was a fantastic mother, grandmother and wife that always put her family first.  She was active with the Relay for Life Foundation for many years.

Kathy was preceded in death by her father – Malden Sipole, Jr.; sister-in-law – Ruth Ann DeAngelo; three grandbabies.

She is survived by her loving husband – John DeAngelo of Sparta, IL to whom she married October 23, 1971 in Ellis Grove, IL; three children – Michael (Nina) DeAngelo of O’Fallon, MO, Pamela (Andrew) Kueker of Ruma, IL and Tom DeAngelo of Sparta, IL; mother – Maxine Sipole; seven grandchildren – Emily Kueker of Ruma, IL, Sophia Kueker of Ruma, IL, Daniel Kueker of Ruma, IL, Sydney DeAngelo of O’Fallon, MO, Elijah DeAngelo of O’Fallon, MO, Patrick Slifer of O’Fallon, MO, Kayla Slifer of O’Fallon, MO; brother – Gary Sipole of Belleville, IL; sister – Cherie Diercks of Chester, IL; other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held at Heil-Schuessler & Sinn Funeral Home in Sparta, IL on Monday, September 6, 2021 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m.

Funeral Services will take place at Heil-Schuessler & Sinn Funeral Home in Sparta, IL on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at 1:00 p.m.

Interment will take place at Union Cemetery in Sparta, IL.

Heil-Schuessler & Sinn Funeral Home in Sparta is in charge of arrangements.
