My sincere sympathies to Gene and “the girls” along with the entire family. My entire childhood involved her as my kind and lovely neighbor. She was a true testament to a life of a Christian woman. She introduced me to butter rum lifesavers and the love of a British accent. What an honor to remember her each Christmas season when she was able to meet our Savior.

I was in Bible Bible Study at her home when I was a young wife and mother. I was glad to get to know her better. My daddy worked with Spike for years and they were fishing buddies. I met Joyce through my mom. Thinking of all of you God Bless.

Please accept my condolences, and thanks for babysitting me at Mountain Home, Idaho. Mom reminisced with me often about those years during our visits since I retired in 2011 to my natal state, but the northern lake country part rather than the high desert south. She had the “peace that passes all understanding,” and I trust that Joyce did, too.
If you should happen to be along I-90 in Idaho, call 1st Presbyterian Church of Coeur d’Alene, and I’ll buy your coffee. Hanging on, enjoying the ride,
