Joseph A. Lance, Jr.

Joseph A. Lance, Jr, 60, of Lenzburg, IL, born January 13, 1961, passed away on Thursday April 29, 2021 at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis. Mr. Lance was a brake press operator at Hubbell-Wiegmann in Freeburg, IL. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved boating and motorcycle riding.
He was preceded in death by his mother; Druetta (McCabe) Lance.
Joseph is survived by his father; Joseph A. Lance, Sr. of Waterloo, IL, his loving wife LuAnn E. (Mueller) Lance of Lenzburg, IL, whom he married on July 12, 1986 at St. Peter U.C.C. Church in Lenzburg, IL, sons; Greg (Melanie Bertlesman) Mueller and Timothy (Amanda) Lance, all of Lenzburg, IL, granddaughters; BrieAnn Lance and Sarah O’Donnell, brothers and sister; Jeff (Kelly) Lance of Waterloo, IL, Kim (Dean) Grant of Collinsville, IL and Jim (Pam Mercurio) Lance of Waterloo, IL, nephews and niece; Jeffrey, Joshua and Jessica, great nieces and great nephew; Kylie, Josh, Chloe and Madison and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
Visitation; Friends may join the family from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday May 2, 2021 and again from 9 to 11 a.m. on Monday May 3, 2021 at Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in New Athens, IL. Due to current Covid-19 restrictions, face masks must be worn at all times while in the funeral home.
Funeral; Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday May 3, 2021 at Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in New Athens, IL with Rev. Phillip Easton officiating. Burial will follow at St. Peter U.C.C. Cemetery in Lenzburg, IL.
Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in New Athens, IL is in charge of arrangements.

So very sorry for your loss, Joe was a very friendly guy and will be missed by many. Rylan will definatly miss meeting and riding his bike next to him while in the golf cart or telling him about his bike tires. Keeping u all in our thoughts and prayers. -
