Johnnie Cathcart Sr.

Johnnie Carson Cathcart, Sr., 79, of Cedar Hill, MO; formerly of Marissa, IL; born on January 13, 1939 in Lenzburg, IL; passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at his home.

Mr. Cathcart was a carpenter. He was a Deacon at Living Church of God. Johnnie loved to go fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents – Aaron and Martha, nee Ramsey, Cathcart. Two sons – Kevin Cathcart; Rodney Cathcart. Nine brothers and three sisters and 2 grandchildren: Jamie Lynne Engler and Johnnie Carson Cathcart, III.

He is survived by his wife – Evelyn, nee Trevathan, Cathcart. His children – Kimberly (Kenny) May; Terry (Steve) Engler; Tammy Phelps; Johnnie (Julie) Cathcart, Jr.; Brian (Mary) Cathcart. Twenty one grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. One daughter-in-law – Susan Cathcart.

Visitation: Friends may call at Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in Marissa, IL on Sunday, February 11, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Funeral: Services will be held at Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in Marissa, IL on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. with Dr. Richard Franz officiating.

Interment: Burial will be held in the Marissa Township Cemetery in Marissa, IL.

Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in Marissa, IL is in charge of arrangements.
