John Edward Lloyd, Sr, 79, of Marissa  Illinois passed away on April 1st, 2023, surrounded by his family.
He was born July 9th, 1943, in Marissa, son of the late Thomas and Virgie (Cavaness) Lloyd.

He is preceded in death by his late wife – Barbara Lynn (Luers) Lloyd. Three brothers and one sister-in-law. William Junior Lloyd, Robert Lloyd, Cletus (Mona) Lloyd. Three sisters and three brothers-in-law – Beatrice (Ervin) Lehr, Wilma (James) Mahan, Ruby (Milton) Wildermann.
He is survived by his four children – Linda (David) Lea, John Jr (Elizabeth) Lloyd, Anthony (Lea) Lloyd and Melissa (Terrence) White, grandchildren – Robin (Dustin) McClintock, Stephanie Lea, David J. A. Lea, Joseph Hatley, Benjamin Hatley, Shelby Lynn Lloyd, Hayden Ellet, Alejandra Lloyd, Ezekiel Charles (Linday) Agans, great-grandchildren – Daycee Kay McClintock, Remee Margaret McClintock, Winry Emmeline Lea, Roguen David Jackson, Dustee Jane McClintock, Austen Adler Lea, Rubee Lynn McClintock, Davey Dustin Marc McClintock, Zaelynn Reene Agans and his beloved partner Linda (Harvey) Lloyd.
Memorials in Mr. Lloyd’s honor may be made in the form of donations to the Marissa Food Pantry.
Visitation: Friends and family will be gathering from 3 to 5 p.m. on Friday April 7, 2023 at Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in Marissa, IL
Memorial Services: Services will be held at 5 p.m. on Friday April 7, 2023 at Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in Marissa, IL.
Private graveside committal will be held at a later date at Marissa TWP Cemetery.
Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in Marissa, IL is in charge of arrangements.
