I was shocked to receive a call from my brother today telling me of Jan’s death. We were such good friends in high school, and she was in our wedding. I was to go by your house to see her during the Christmas holidays, but she called me that morning saying she wasn’t feeling well. We we’re returning home the next day, so I didn’t get to see her. We were coming through there the end of this month and had hoped to see her then. I am sure we will see her again in her new home forevermore in God’s time. You and your family will be in our prayers, especially Friday.

When we were in high school, I spent the night many times, after basketball games, at Janis home. I was so impressed, because she had a record player, which I did not have, and she would put a record on, when we went to bed. Just one of the memories I have of her. She was a sweet. gentle person. I will miss her.
