Jalane Goss

Jalane M., nee Moran, Goss, 77, of Marissa, IL; born on November 7, 1942 in Madison, WI; passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2020 at her home.
Mrs. Goss worked as a sheet metal worker at Wiegmann in Freeburg, IL. She was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Local 202. Jalane loved her grandchildren and also enjoyed spending time with them.
She was preceded in death by her parents – Carl and Genevieve, nee Smith, Moran. Her husband – Jim Goss who passed away on April 5, 1981. One daughter – Kimberly in infancy. One son-in-law – Jeff Buritsch.
She is survived by her children – Yvonne (Don) Williams of Knoxville, TN; Paula Burtisch of Carterville, IL; Edward (Rhoda) Goss of Marissa, IL; Robert Goss of New Athens, IL. Her grandchildren – Theresa (Joel) Esker; Tiffany (Chris Mosir) Williams; Jenny Bowlby; Alex Massey; Jennifer (Dan) Nuernberger; Josh (Marissa) Blank; Katlyn Goss; Michelle (Darreis) Evans; Jeffrey (Jessica Anglin) Burtisch; Kendra (Shelby Modglin) Goss. Her great-grandchildren – Cameron Bowlby; Antonio Hodges; Olivia Evans; Charlotte Evans; June Evans; Maxenne Esker; Chance Nuernberger; Isabella Combs; Hudson Blank.
Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.

Visitation: Friends may call at Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in New Athens, IL on Thursday, February 6, 2020 from 9:00am to 11:00am.
Funeral: Services will be held at Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in New Athens, IL on Thursday, February 6, 2020 at 11:00am with Rev. Robert Koch officiating.
Interment: Burial will be held in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Belleville, IL.
Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in New Athens, IL is in charge of arrangements.

Jalane was a wonderful neighbor and lovingly mom/grandma. She was so proud of her family!
