MULHOLLAND
Helen V. Mulholland (née Bouas), 85 of Marissa, IL passed away at 4:16 a.m. on Sunday, April 4, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.
Helen was born October 24, 1935 at home in Coulterville, IL, the fourth child to Frank & Ethel (McCauley) Bouas. Helen married Robert Wesley Mulholland on October 25, 1952, they were blessed with 68 1/2 years of marriage.
As a child she attended Gravel Hill Grade School, then went on to graduate from Okawville High School.
Through the years Helen worked at the Shoe Factory, the Dress Factory and as a Home Healthcare aide. Bob & Helen owned the Dairy Queen in Coulterville, which was a simple walk-up window, serving only ice cream cones for $0.05.
Helen was a member of Tilden Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed working in her flower beds, canning, sewing, making crafts, shopping the clearance racks and trips with her family. Bob and Helen enjoyed many winters in Texas fishing and camping during the cold winter months.
Helen is survived by her husband, Bob Mulholland of Marissa, IL; three children, Blake (Leslie) Mulholland of DeSoto, IL; Scott Mulholland of Marissa, IL; Kelli (Kenny) Pierce of Pinckneyville, IL; five grandchildren, Chad (Rachel) Mulholland, Maegan Mulholland, Ethan (Cassidy) Pierce, Bryson Howie and Sarah Pierce; two great grandchildren, Corbin and Connor Mulholland; one sister, Thelma Jean Eaton; one brother in law, Leonard (Mary) Mulholland; one sister in law, Shirley Mulholland and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Wilbur (Agnes) Bouas; two sisters, Nelda (James) Robb and Lorene (Leonard) Sinn; her in laws Joseph and Pearl Mulholland; one brother in law; Raymond Mulholland; two sister in laws, Dorothy (William) McKinley and Joan (Claude) Little; one niece, Sheila McKinley.
Helen’s wishes were to be cremated. No services will be held at this time.
Memorials may be sent to Tilden Presbyterian Church, 721 Butler Street, Tilden, IL 62992.
Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in Marissa, Illinois is in charge of arrangements

Heaven has a new very sweet resident. Helen left this world just as Jesus was coming back to it. What a beautiful memory.

My sympathy to the family. Harvey and I were sorry to learn Sheila had passed away in 2013 as she was in his TGS class. Joan and Claude Little were our neighbors growing up.
