Mrs. Glenda Ann Brandenburger, 67, of Belleville, IL, formerly of New Athens, IL, born July 25, 1956, in E. St. Louis, IL, passed away on Wednesday September 20, 2023, at Four Fountains Nursing Center in Belleville, IL. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents – Albert and Mary (Winkleman) Vollert, her husband – Ivan Brandenburger, Sr, whom she married on November 3, 1973, and who preceded her on June 20, 2009, 2 brothers – Roger Vollert and Wayne Vollert – sister-in-law Myra (and the late and Leonard) Winkler, and brother-in-law Jimmy Schwarz.

Glenda is survived by her son Ivan Dean (Melanie) Brandenburger, Jr. of Belleville, IL, 3 grandchildren – Abigail (Patrick) Newman of Lebanon, IL and Alex and Eric Brandenburger, both of Belleville, IL, and 3 sisters-in-law – Joyce Vollert, Lucy Hesse and Jane Schwarz.

No visitation hours are being scheduled.

Private services are being planned.

Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in New Athens, IL is in charge of arrangements.
