Georgia Marylene, nee Shain, Woolsey, 81, of Marissa, IL; born December 28, 1931 in Gorham, IL; passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at the Freeburg Care Center in Freeburg, IL.

Mrs. Woolsey was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was the owner and operator of Georgia’s Lounge for many years. Georgia had a lot of fun playing bingo and enjoyed visiting area casinos.

She was preceded in death by her parents – Ralph and Beulah, nee Quinn, Shain. Her first husband Carl Hurst who passed away on June 1, 1968. Her second husband Gerald Woolsey who passed away on October 14, 2007. A daughter – Shirley Chambers. A granddaughter – Lacey. A great-grandson – Layne. Two brothers and one sister.

She is survived by her children – Carol (Pete) Laumbattus of Marissa, IL; Georgia Ann (Roy) Kloth of Chester, IL; Carl “Bubba” (Anita) Hurst of Granite City, IL. Her grandchildren – Chris (Shelly) Smith; Brian (Jill) Smith; Amanda (Matt) Birkner; Aaron (Chelsea) Campbell; Brance Hurst; Jessica Hurst; Garrett Harriman; Mallory (Jeremy) Herzog; Michaela Mueller; Dustin Mueller. Her great-grandchildren – Drew Smith; Emily Smith; Paige Phelps, Calli Smith; Jaden Smith; Gauge Birkner; Gannon Birkner; Statler Campbell; Staunton Campbell; Chase Hurst; Levi Aaron; Adeline Foster; Kaeli Lane; Kayden Johnson; Mason Harriman; Bradin Harriman; Easton Harriman. One brother – Donald Shain of Freeburg, IL.

Visitation: Friends may call at Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in Marissa, IL on Friday, September 20, 2013 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm and on Saturday, September 21, 2013 from 9:00am to 11:00am

Funeral: Services will be held at Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in Marissa, IL on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at 11:00am with Rev. Wilbur Franklin officiating.

Interment: Burial will be held at the Marissa Township Cemetery in Marissa, IL.
