Floyd was a great friend and mentor in growing up around him with his son and daughters. Hunting trapping and just hanging out telling stories and laughing to no end. I can remember one particular story when Floyd and Rick were going to dress some turtles they had caught and Rick said dad I will go in and get the knifes and be right back.

My sympathy to entire Schmierbach family. I was lucky enough to grow up on the same block with many amazing people like the Schmierbach’s, Hein’s, and Keil’s; and Floyd was one of the people that made growing up there something I’ll never forget! My thoughts will be with all of you during the very difficult days ahead.
Love, Jeanne(2)
