Flinten Dean Thompson, 26, of Tilden, IL; born on September 9, 1995 in Red Wing, MN; passed away on Saturday, September 18, 2021 in Coulterville, IL.
Flinten worked on a farm and loved everything about his job. He enjoyed being outdoors and spending time with his friends. Flinten always told his family he did not need a baby because he had everything he needed with his best friend and pet, Waylon. He loved visiting his friends and had a big heart for any children, no matter who they were.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather – Charles Cox; maternal grandfather – Ronald Thompson; paternal grandmother – Mary Cox; uncle – Rick Cox; aunt – Tammy Cox.
Flinten is survived by his mother – Joy (Thompson) Merideth of St. Genevieve, MO; father – Timothy Cox of Granite City, IL; grandma – Dorothy Thompson; step dad – William Merideth; brother – Noah Thompson of St. Genevieve, MO; sister – Emily Thompson of St. Genevieve, MO. Nieces and nephews – Kobe Dodson, Kruz Dodson, Colten Thompson, and Aumora Wilhold; aunts and uncles – Ron (Breck) Thompson, Jim Thompson, Roger (Richard) Thompson, Jeff Cox, and Cindy Harsh.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family for their wishes.
Visitation will be held at Heil-Schuessler & Sinn Funeral Home in Sparta, IL on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.
Funeral Services will be held at Heil-Schuessler & Sinn Funeral Home in Sparta, IL on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Paul Hahn officiating.
Interment will be held at Caledonia Cemetery in Sparta, IL.
Heil-Schuessler & Sinn Funeral Home in Sparta, IL is in charge of arrangements.

Our deepest sympathy. Flinten was a good boy. He had a temper. I’m glad we got spend a little time with him while he helped build our house. He was a great carpenter everything had to be exact.
