Mrs. Fern Margaret, nee Dintelman, Simon, age 71, of Marissa,IL, born September 25, 1941 in Washington County, IL, died Monday, October 29, 2012 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL She had worked as a book binder at a couple of area comic book factories.

Fern was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Luisa, nee Mazander, Dintelman, her husband, Marion Eugene Simon; her brother and sister; Darlene Fruth and Melvin Dintelman.

Mrs. Simon is survived by her 2 sons; James (Luann) Simon of Lenzburg, IL and William Simon of Hartford, Ark; 5 grandchildren: Joshua, Amber, Justin, Jordan and Jessica Simon; 8 gr. grandchildren; Alexander, Kyle, Mackenzie, Farren, Lydia and Justin Simon, Jr, Scott Riggs Simon and Skylar King.; Brother-in-law Clyde Fruth of Freeport, IL and sister-in-law Lorraine Dintelman of Coulterville, IL

In lieu of flowers memorials in Mrs. Simon’s honor are encouraged to be made to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Visitation: Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, November 1, 2012 and again from 9 to 10 a.m. on Friday, November 2, 2012 at Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in Marissa, IL

Funeral: Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 2, 2012 at Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in Marissa, IL Burial will be in Marissa TWP. Cemetery, Marissa, IL
