Elmo Glenn Kane, Sr., 87, of Tilden, IL; born on August 23, 1933 in Houston, IL; went to meet our lord and savior on Monday, November 16, 2020 at the Memorial Hospital in Carbondale, IL.

Elmo loved going to the Baptist Church in Tilden to hear Reverend Paul Hahn speak.   He enjoyed working on old cars and had his junk yard for many years.  He loved all animals, especially his bird Merlin and dog, Susie.  One of his favorite trips was to Branson with his wife, Betty.  They never missed the Presleys when they went.

Elmo was preceded in death by his parents – Eldon and Lula (Saal) Kane.  One brother, one sister and two stepsons.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 40 years – Betty Kane of Tilden, IL. Children – Elmo Glenn Kane, Jr. of Marissa, IL; Donnie (Cindy) Kane of Shiloh, IL; Vickie Rednour of Coulterville, IL; Diane (Jim) Warchol of Shiloh, IL; Eddie (Diane) Kane of Marissa, IL.  Stepchildren – John (Peggy) Pflasterer of Tilden, IL; Bryant Pflasterer of Millerstown, MO; Teresa Pflasterer of Marissa, IL.  One brother – Melvin (Pat) Kane of Sparta, IL.  Thirty-five grandchildren.  Thirty-three great grandchildren.  Special friends – Randy and Mindy Smith.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the family.

Visitation: Friends may call at the Tilden First Baptist Church on Thursday, November 19, 2020 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday, November 20, 2020 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.

Funeral: Services will be held at the Tilden First Baptist Church on Friday, November 20, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Paul Hahn officiating.

Interment: Burial will be held at the Marissa Township Cemetery in Marissa, IL.
