Ed Beierman

Ed Beierman, 78, of Marissa, IL; born on August 7, 1940 in Litchfield, IL; passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at the Freeburg Care Center in Freeburg, IL.
Mr. Beierman was a retired coal miner. He was a member of St. Agatha Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Ed enjoyed traveling and most of all loved being around his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents – Stephen and Ronella, nee Harris, Beierman. His loving wife – Enrica, nee Titran, Beierman whom he married on February 16, 1963 at St. Rita Catholic Church in Kincaid, IL and whom passed away on May 25, 2002.
He is survived by his children – Brad (Linda) Beierman of Belleville, IL; Stefanie (John) Pitchford of Marissa, IL; Jill (Brian) Smith of Waterloo, IL; Cara (Doug) Wiley of Taylorville, IL; Justin (Sheena) Beierman of Lake St. Louis, MO. His grandchildren – Casey Pitchford; Corey Pitchford; Alexzia Turini; Austin Beierman; Calli Smith; Jaden Smith; Nevaeh Wiley; Chloe Beierman; Reagan Wiley; Lucy Beierman; Clayton Wiley; Elijah Beierman. One sister – Kay Wilson of Auburn, IL. One sister-in-law – Cinda Titran of Tovey, IL. Also survived by a special friend – Brenda Stimac of Edinburg, IL.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois, Freeburg Care Center or the American Cancer Society.

Visitation: Friends may call at Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in Marissa, IL on Thursday, July 25, 2019 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. A prayer service will be held at 4:00pm.
Funeral: Funeral services will be private.
Interment: Burial will be held in the Marissa Township Cemetery in Marissa, IL.
Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in Marissa, IL is in charge of arrangements.

God, he was a good man. Happy inside and out. Loving to his family. Level headed, stag drinking , easy going guy. The world could use more Eddie Beiermans. It would be a better place. -

Losing a dad is extremely difficult because you are losing a source of strength, consistency and stability in your life. I’m so sorry to learn of your dad’s passing. I hope you can find a little comfort in knowing that he is and always will be alive in your hearts, minds and memories when you need it. I grew up on a small family farm very near to the Beierman family and rode a school bus with Eddie and Kay to Pawnee where we went to school. Eddie was always a neat boy and guy to be around. I surely remember when he married beautiful Enrica too. Thoughts and prayers to the entire family.
