Dwaine M. Hoffman

Dwaine Michael Hoffman, 57, of New Athens, IL, born July 3, 1965, in Du Quoin, IL, passed away on Thursday August 4, 2022, at Christian Northeast Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Dwaine honorably served his country as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corp. He worked as a boilermaker at International Paper in Belleville, IL.
Mr. Hoffman was preceded in death by his parents – Clarence and Beverly (Seblewski) Hoffman and one brother – David Hoffman.
Dwaine is survived by his wife, the former Katrina Skaggs, whom
he married on October 24, 2014, in Chester, IL, his children – Kayla Hoffman of Okawville, IL, Rachel (Don) Caraway of Carterville, IL and Tony Smithe of Albers, IL, three brothers – Gary Hoffman, Donnie Hoffman and Gene (Alyssa) Hoffman all
of Du Quoin, IL, one sister – Donna Erb of Du Quoin, IL and six grandchildren – Anaiya Caraway, Jayden Caraway, Evelyn Caraway, Joanna Caraway, Sebastian Eggemeyer and River Bobby.
Memorials may be made to the family.
Visitation: Friends and family will be gathering from 9 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday August 9, 2022, at Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in New Athens, IL.
Funeral: Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday August 9, 2022, at Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in New Athens, IL with Rev. Dr. Robert Koch officiating. Burial will follow at Tilden Cemetery in Tilden, IL.
Heil-Schuessler Funeral home in New Athens, IL is in charge of arrangements.
