Duane Badgett

Duane Badgett, 62, of New Athens, IL born July 18, 1957 in Belleville, IL, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was a cable TV technician.
Mr. Badgett was preceded in death by his parents; Herbert and Tina (Crossen) Badgett, 2 brothers; Larry and Jerry Badgett and 1 sister; Lottie Nuernberger-Mathis.
Duane is survived by his wife Debby (Beck) Badgett of New Athens, IL who he married on February 10, 1979 at St. John United Church of Christ in New Athens, 2 sons; Cameron Badgett and Graham Badgett, both of New Athens, IL, 2 daughters; Cassandra (Mike) Range of Marissa, IL and Kelsey (Kyle) Wendling of Smithton, IL, 4 brothers; Glen (Carol) Badgett of ARK, Gerald Badgett of O’Fallon, IL, Mark (Bev) Badgett of New Athens, IL and Kevin Badgett of Fairview Heights, IL, and 9 grandchildren; Sam, Nathan, Riley, Raegen, Sawyer, Graer, Bree, Reid and Eleanor.
Memorials: May be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
In keeping with Duane’s wishes, cremation is to be held with no formal visitation or services.
Life celebration; A get together of family and friends will be held from 1 – 6 p.m. on Saturday, December, 28, 2019 at the NAIL, 400 S. Johnson St. in New Athens, IL. The family would be honored by your attendance.
Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in New Athens, IL is in charge of arrangements.
