DILL

Donna Lyn (Thomas) Dill, 75, of Sparta, IL; born January 22, 1948 in East St. Louis, IL the daughter of Frank and Vergenne (Odle) Thomas; passed away Friday, September 29, 2023 at BJC Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Donna enjoyed being outdoors, whether it was hiking or working in her garden.  She loved going on adventures with her family and jumping around to different thrift stores to find hidden treasures.  Donna also enjoyed working on puzzles and reading.

She is survived by her loving husband – David Dill to whom she married December 11, 1976 in Freeburg, IL; four children – Stephanie (Roy Gramm) Bondaruk of Mascoutah, IL, Jill (Steve) Burkhart of Freeburg, IL, Zachary Dill of Sparta, IL, and Hannah (William) Walter of Baldwin, IL; ten grandchildren – Candace Bondaruk, Joseph Steinbach, Jessica Burkhart, Megan (Justin) Province, Delilah Dill, Zayne Dill, Breeanna Lewis, Waylon Walter, Lincoln Walter, and Flynn Walter; three great grandchildren – Isaiah Thomas, Elijiah Thomas, and Sabastian Scott; three sisters – Sandra (Stephen) Crain of Farmington, MO, Vicki (Alan) Reece of Morristown, AZ, and Peggy Goodwin of Smithton, IL.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

The Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Heil-Schuessler & Sinn Funeral Home in Sparta from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
