Dean E. Impastato

Dean Edward Impastato, 68, of Marissa, IL, born September 18,1954 in Springfield, IL, passed away on Saturday February 11, 2023, at his home with his family by his side. He was a retired coal miner and a retired Marissa, IL Fire Dept. volunteer.
Mr. Impastato was preceded in death by his parents – Lawrence B. and Margaret “Voneda” (Cox) Impastato.
Dean is survived by his loving wife – the former Debra S. Book, whom he married at Belleville, IL on December 17, 1999, three children – Amy Jo (Larry) Crews of Tilden, IL, Elizabeth (James) Wriston of Tilden, IL and Joseph (Keri) Impastato of Marissa, IL, three siblings – brother Impastato of Taylorville, IL, sister – Sonja (Kenny) Gilmore of Broken Arrow, OK and his twin sister – Jean (Mike) Gaynor of Owaneco, IL, five grandchildren – Adrianna Wriston, Alex Wriston, Jaxon Impastato, Bradley McGee and Gavin McGee and one great grandchild – Jeffrey Laumbattus.
Memorials in Dean’s honor may be made to the Salvation Army.
In keeping with Dean’s wishes, cremation will take place with no visitation or services.
Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in Marissa is in charge of arrangements.
