David J. Grayson

David John Grayson, Sr., 92, of Lake St. Louis, MO; was born on November 20, 1925 in St. Louis, MO; passed away on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at his home.
Mr. Grayson was an ironworker. He was a United States Navy Veteran serving during WWII in the Pacific. He was a member of the Living Lord Lutheran Church in Lake St. Louis, MO. David was also a member of the American Legion Post 161 of Ferguson, MO and the V.F.W. Post 5077 of O’Fallon, MO. and was also a member of the Angler’s Fishing Club of Lake St. Louis.
He was preceded in death by his parents – John C. and Tillie, nee Heberer, Grayson. His loving wife Norma, nee Borrenpohl, Grayson who passed away on September 29, 2013. Also preceded in death by his son David Grayson Jr. on October 20, 2017. One sister – Janette Lefler.
He is survived by his children – Beth (Jerry) Eads of Columbia, MO; Paul Meyer of Wentzville, MO. His grandchildren – Michael Koonce; Michelle Koonce; Suzanne (Nick) Werle; Laura Haynes; Sara (Joseph) Schrader; Mary Christine (Garrett) Jobe. His great-grandchildren – Joseph Schrader; Evelyn Schrader; Ben Jobe; Teresa Jobe; Vanesa Jobe; Ella Haynes; Gavin Haynes; Noah Koonce; Hayden Werle.

Visitation: Friends may call at Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in New Athens, IL on Friday, September 21, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday, September 22, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Funeral: Services will be held at Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in New Athens, IL on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Robert Koch officiating.
Interment: Burial will be held in the Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery in Okawville, IL.
Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in New Athens, IL is in charge of arrangements.
