Curtis Beimfohr

Curtis M. Beimfohr, 88, of Marissa, IL; born July 13, 1923 in Marissa, IL; passed away on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at Sparta Community Hospital in Sparta, IL.
Mr. Beimfohr was a petroleum agent and distributor for Sun Oil / Citgo Petroleum Companies. He was also a bus driver for Marissa Unit District 40. He was a United States Navy Veteran. He was a member of the Marissa Presbyterian Church and past chief of the Marissa Fire Department.
He is preceded in death by his parents Edwin and Alvina, nee Knecht, Beimfohr. His wife Marian, nee Jones, Beimfohr whom he married on September 8, 1942 in St. Charles, MO and who passed away on August 6, 2007. 1 brother – Clinton Beimfohr.
He is survived by 2 daughters – Jan (Ron) Yesley of Steeleville, IL; Becky (Rodney) McGrew of Chesterfield, MO. 3 grandchilden – Michael Yesley; Laura (David) Aspinall; Bradley (Cecelia) McGrew. 5 great-grandchildren – Thomas Aspinall; Olivia Aspinall; Kayleigh McGrew; Gracelynn McGrew; Rylee McGrew. 1 brother – Edward Beimfohr of Bonita Springs, FL. 1 sister – Carol (Tom) Munsell of Fort Myers, FL.

Visitation: Friends may call at the Marissa Presbyterian Church in Marissa, IL on Saturday, March 17, 2012 from 9:00am to 11:00am.

Funeral: Services will be held at the Marissa Presbyterian Church in Marissa, IL on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 11:00am with Rev. James Ryan officiating.

Memorials: Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or the Marissa Presbyterian Church.

Interment: Burial will be held at Marissa Township Cemetery in Marissa, IL.
