Clifford Price

Clifford Leroy Price, 75, of Red Bud, IL; born on January 27, 1945 in Tilden, IL; passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL.

Mr. Price was coal miner.  He was a United States Army Veteran.  He was a member of the UMWA and the Robert F. Arnold American Legion Post 172.  Cliff like fishing, hunting and playing euchre and spending time with Bump Cat.

He was preceded in death by his parents – Howard and Beulah, nee Pflasterer, Price.  His first wife Sharon, nee Triefenbach, Price who he was married to for 27 years and his second wife Vicky, nee Seiber, Price who he was married to for 19 years.  One daughter in infancy – Carrie Anna Price.  Two brothers – Harold “Bucky” Price; William Price.  One sister – Lucille Timmons.

He is survived by his daughter – Misti Price of Chester, IL.  His step-daughter – Annette (Todd) Gillette of Marissa, IL.  His son-in-love – Bobby Hughes.  His grandchildren – Kaleb Hughes; Jordan Hughes; Eli Hughes; Tori Antry; Jessica Antry.  His siblings – Katherine (Max) Barton of Virginia Beach, VA; Howard (Sharon) Price of Coulterville, IL; John (Caroline) Price of Sparta, IL; Joe (Lynda) Price of Granbury, TX; Mary (Mike) DeLong of Marissa, IL.

Memorials may be made to Siteman Cancer Center.

Visitation: Friends may call at Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in Marissa, IL on Sunday, October 18, 2020 from 10:00am to 2:00pm.   In order to keep everyone safe, face masks are required and social distancing must be maintained.

Funeral: Services will be held at Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in Marissa, IL on Sunday, October 18, 2020 at 2:00pm with Pastor Phillip Easton officiating.

Interment: Burial will be held in the Marissa Township Cemetery in Marissa, IL.

Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in Marissa, IL is in charge of arrangements.

  1. Misti and Family, We are so sorry for the loss of your dad, grandpa. Cliff was one in a million and we were blessed to know him. We enjoyed many experiences together when we all lived in Marissa. Covid restrictions kept us from the visitation.

    Misti you are in our prayers. I will dearly miss your father my Uncle Clifford. I loved his visits to Virginia Beach and sitting around the table and listening to all his adventures. I also remember him working on a truck and restoring it. It was a masterpiece.
