So sorry for your loss. I just get sad when someone contributes to the Humane Society and passes away. People like that are too few . She will be missed.!!! I last saw her at Walmart not too long ago

NATION
Cynthia “Cindy” Nation, 63, of Tilden, IL; born on June 8, 1960 in Birmingham, AL; passed away on Friday, July 14, 2023 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
Cindy was the third child and second daughter of Gwin and Barbara Hoagland. She moved with her parents and siblings to Illinois in 1976. She graduated Marissa High School in 1978. After high school, she married Ron Sparling, and they later separated. She moved back to Alabama where she married David Nation and had a daughter Jana in 1987. She was employed by the Tyson Company, and then the Birmingham golf course where she helped save the life of Lord Wedgewood of England and later honored for her efforts. Cindy enjoyed raising her grandsons, Jaden and Kason. She loved watching the boys, sporting events and made them the center of her life. When she moved back to Illinois in 2018, she found her church home and greatly loved going to Sunday school and church services with her mother and church family. She welcomed a third grandson, Noah, in 2022 who she adored dearly. Cindy was an amazing caregiver to her dear friend and client, Roberta. She loved animals and had the biggest giving heart. Her dog Susie was her constant companion. She often donated blankets and supplies to the Randolph County Humane Society. She enjoyed Alabama Football, especially when she watched it with her father. Some of her other interests included fishing, music, and many get-togethers with family and friends.
She is survived by her parents – Gwin and Barbara (Tidwell) Hoagland of Tilden, IL; daughter – Jana (Kevin Hubbard) Nation of Tilden, IL; three grandchildren – Jaden Nation, Kason Nation, and Noah Hubbard; one sister – Sonya Stork of Sparta, IL; one brother – Brent (Holly Martin) Hoagland of Tilden, IL; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Cindy was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents – Fate and Tressie Hoagland; maternal grandparents – Charlie and Maggie Tidwell; sister – Renee Chandler; brother – Jeff Hoagland.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Tilden First Baptist Church or Randolph County Humane Society.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at the Tilden First Baptist Church from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Paul Hahn officiating. Committal services will be held at Tilden Cemetery in Tilden, IL.
Heil-Schuessler & Sinn Funeral Home in Tilden, Illinois is in charge of arrangements.
