Charles Russell “Rusty” Wilson, 69, of Coulterville, IL; born on November 10, 1953 in Belleville, IL; passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at his home.
Rusty was a retired coal miner. He was a member of the UMWA, Laborer’s Union and the Tilden Coon Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing cards on Friday night at the American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his parents – Charles Ray Wilson and Minnie Jean, nee Douglas, Downen. Two nephews – Ted Leemon and Vernie Law Jr.
He is survived by his wife – Lisa, nee McCauley, Wilson whom he married on November 8, 2002 in Nashville, IL. His children – Adam (Rocio) Wilson of Wellington, FL; Ashley (Gabe) Kimmel of Freeburg, IL. Three grandsons – Russell Wilson; Patrick Wilson and Oliver Kimmel. Four sisters – Gail Wilson; Janice Carter; Lisa Thompson; Melanie Downen. One brother – Ray “Chuck” Wilson. Rusty is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Rusty’s life will be held at Pistol City Bar and Grill in Coulterville, IL on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at 1:00 pm.
Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in Marissa, IL is in charge of arrangements.
