I remember the first time I hear Carrie sing, at Brandy’s in Sparta. At the time I was directing a cabaret for the community chorus..she sang Tina Turner’s “Proud Mary”…. immediately at that very second, she–and that song became a part of the show…needless to say to numerous standing ovations.
Her big smile, sense of humor and wonderful voice has touched my life ever since..
I told a friend, that Carrie was “one of kind.. she laughed hard, lived hard, and loved hard, and after all, what more can really ask for?”
I will miss you forever………….. RIP

Carrie was truly a blessing in my life. I grew up with Carrie and she was one of my best friends. When I moved to Idaho I left behind some amazing people and one of them was Carrie. She will forever have an impact on my life and she will forever be a part of my family. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.

Thank you for the privilege of officiating the Celebration of Carrie’s Life at New Athens United Methodist Church where her pastor, Rev. Ron Chase was regrettably out of town. What joy to meet her family–so warm and gracious to me. I feel I have gotten to know Carrie through you all and her singing (thank you the CD). May our God of Hope continue to help you LOOK to TOMORROW–Beyond Grief–And be comforted, filled with the Peace of God that passes all understanding. In Jesus’s name. Amen!

Hey my Love, well you are so out of pain now and for that I’m jumping for joy I’m just so relieved that your pain has ended. I don’t think that you could handle this mental pressure we’ve been under lately. But then you always surprised me even to your last breath. It really was amazing how much pain you endured during the last year. I don’t think that I could’ve gotten through all that pain myself. I talk with you everyday, and I know that you know what we are going through. Even though we are all spread out, with God’s help we will be together again. Don’t understand but floods & sewers we have no control over it. You would have been so sick from the smell, you always said you had a “medical condition” well guess that medical condition exploded in the basement too. Oh well God has his own destiny planned for us. I miss you so much some days I can hardly breathed. Sometimes I want to get in that hole with you, but I know that’s silly & I know you’re not there. some days I just sit & think of all the crazy things we did together. I didn’t think that we did so much together, but I guess that was wrong too. Carrie, my heart aches on a daily basis, and its skips a beat for you. Now I have to go along in life without you, and that my love is not an easy thing to do. But I must, I know, I know I’ve got the kids to think of. Just please keep a watch over us I know that you can’t be everywhere, but be where you need to be as you have been. When I get back on here, I want to have good news about us. We so miss you without end and I know that I’ll see you again, but until then I’ll talk to you in my dreams. kiss, kiss, hug, hug, and I love you Baby!!<3><3><3>
