Carla, nee Koberg, Stevens, 67, of New Athens, IL; born July 29, 1946 in St. Louis, MO; passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville, IL.

Mrs. Stevens was a homemaker. Carla was a very loving person and a devoted mother, grandmother and friend. She loved animals and worked closely with SPCA by adopting cats and dogs with special needs.

She was preceded in death by her parents – Walter and Rose, nee Stolte, Koberg. Her husband – Conrad Terry Stevens.

She is survived by her children – Cory (Sharon) Stevens of Kill Devil Hills, NC; Candace (Michael) Jenkins of Newport, RI. Her grandchildren – Mary Jenkins; Margaret Jenkins.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

    I just found out today about Carla passing. I am so sorry for your loss. Carla and I spent time together at the Grand Islander as colleagues and friends. She will be deeply missed. I am still in shock.
