Benny Lane Lea, 61, of Johannisburg, IL; born May 27, 1951 in LaFayette, GA; passed away on Friday, September 21, 2012 at his home.
He is preceded in death by his parents – Terry and Lena, nee Smith, Lea. 1 brother – Harlon Lea.
He is survived by his children – Faye (David) Rheinhardt of Red Bud, IL; Jeremy Lea; Erin Lea. 3 grandchildren – Josh Rheinhardt; Brandy Rheinhardt; Kristen Lea. 4 brothers – Terry Lea of Marissa, IL; David (Linda) Lea of Marissa, IL; Herschel Lea of Marissa, IL; Rick Hammond. 2 sisters – Kay (Stan) Lubiewski of O’Fallon, MO; Marilyn Windsor or Summerville, GA. 1 sister-in-law – Mary Jane Lea of Tilden, IL. And Vivian Lea of Marissa, IL.
Memorials may be made to the family.
Visitation: Friends may call at Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in Marissa, IL on Monday, September 24, 2012 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm
Funeral: Services will be held at Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in Marissa, IL on Monday, September 24, 2012 at 7:00pm with Rev. Wilbur Franklin officiating.
Uncle Benny i miss you and i will love you always. I learned alot from you, and I am thankful for how close we were. RIP until we meet again

ReplyIt’s hard to see someone you dearly love pass away. We will remember the good times and let the sad times rest. As you all read this poem, I hope you will see Benny in a new light and think of him as always being with you.
There is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth. It is called the Rainbow Bridge because of its many colors. Just this side of the Rainbow Bridge is a land of meadows, hills and valleys, all of it covered with lush green grass. We will all meet again someday at the Rainbow Bridge.
I extend my sympathy to all of the Lea family
